Horleys ownership to Hansells Masterton

From the 20th March 2020, Hansells Masterton Limited took ownership of the Horleys and Covet Brands from Naturalac Nutrition Ltd. 

Hansells, established in 1934, is a food manufacturing and packing specialist operating from its current site in Masterton for over 80 years.  Hansells Masterton started packing flavouring essences in 1934 and rapidly expanded, producing a wide and varied range of products over the years.

Executive Director of Hansells Masterton, Alan Stewart, says “the acquisition of both HORLEYS and COVET is an exciting move to own our own brands of which many will be produced right here at the Hansells Masterton factory”.

Horleys, first established in New Zealand over 40 years ago, has a diverse range of products including Protein Bars and Drinks, Protein Powders and Hydration Products sold across many markets covering mainstream stores (Supermarkets, Oil channel, Pharmacy) and Specialist stores (Gyms and online distributors).

The COVET brand is a range of 100% natural Nut Milk variants in Chocolate and Vanilla both sweetened and unsweetened, that taste divine.

Hansells Masterton are working closely with SURGE SMC, to manage the sales and distribution of these products within the Supermarket, Oil and Pharmacy channels in New Zealand.  Managing Director, Tony Trilford, says he and his team are pleased to be working with such an “iconic and trusted” brand and are looking forward to their continued partnership with Hansells.

Both HORLEYS, REPLACE and COVET products are also sold and distributed throughout the South Pacific, Asia and Australia.
