Raising $25,000 to help women with breast cancer

rsz_1fmcgb-good_business_news-raising_25000-bnz_60ml-nzbcfFor the fourth year, Bio-Oil turns pink for Breast Cancer Month in support of its partnership with the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

New Zealand’s leading skincare product will again turn a delightful shade of pink this October as a Pink Ribbon Gold Partner, to raise $25,000 for the New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation.

Retailers’ shelves throughout the country will be filled with special Bio-Oil pink ribbon packs to help inspire New Zealanders to show their support for this amazing charity and the tireless work they do to help those facing enormous challenges.

Ségolène de Fontenay, Corporate Fundraising Manager for The New Zealand Breast Cancer Foundation, says: “Bio-Oil has contributed $75,000 to the NZ Breast Cancer Foundation over the past three years, and supported the Foundation’s inaugural Breast Reconstruction Awareness Day event in 2013. The money raised by Bio-Oil has gone towards education, research and supporting women in their fight against breast cancer.”

Breast cancer is the most common cancer for women, affecting one in nine New Zealand women over their lifetime. Most breast cancers are highly treatable if the cancer is detected early enough, but tragically, more than 600 women die of the disease every year.
