Countdown customers will be able to redeem their fuel dockets issued after 1 August at BP and Caltex sites nationwide, thanks to a new partnership with AA Smartfuel. This brings more than 350 service stations to Countdown’s fuel offer programme, giving customers even more choice when it comes to redeeming fuel offers.

AA Smartfuel is the nation’s leading fuel discount programme. Customers will see more details about the partnership with Countdown later in the year.

“In the past two years we’ve been bringing our customers lower prices through the Price Lockdown programme. Fuel discounts are another way Countdown helps make Kiwis’ lives a little better every day,” says Countdown Managing Director Dave Chambers.

AA Smartfuel managing director Scott Fitchett says the business is looking forward to its cardholders being able to earn AA Smartfuel discounts at Countdown later in the year.

Countdown’s contract with Z Energy comes to an end on 31 July. Customers will still be able to redeem their Z vouchers until the expiry date printed on their Countdown docket.

Countdown’s current fuel docket relationship with Gull remains in place.
