Orange represents enthusiasm, joy, happiness, creativity, encouragement, determination and success, so moving to Level 2 was a perfect reason for Sunshine Pegs to launch a limited edition orange peg. However, life isn’t this way for everyone as we move through the levels and challenges of COVID-19.
While home has been a safe place for many New Zealanders during lockdown, it has not been the case for everyone. During lockdown Levels 4 and 3, New Zealand Police reported an escalation of domestic violence throughout the country. Many support services, like Shine, continued their amazing essential work through lockdown to ensure that victims of domestic violence received the help and support that victims and their children needed. Shine are expecting their services to continue to be stretched over the coming months due to ongoing pressures from COVID-19 on households.
Sunshine Pegs are proudly New Zealand made and have teamed up with Shine to support New Zealanders, help raise awareness of domestic violence and by making a $1,000 donation.
