Foodstuffs North Island Limited has started Stage II of the refurbishment of PAK’nSAVE Pukekohe, located on the corner of Queen and Harris Streets.
“The next stage of the upgrade of PAK’nSAVE Pukekohe is another exciting project for us,” says Tony Catton, Foodstuffs North Island Ltd Acting General Manager Property Development. “The renovation will see the interior of the store receive a facelift. Existing refrigeration will be replaced, new signs will be installed and a repaint in the fresh departments will freshen the store and bring it up to date.”
PAK’nSAVE Pukekohe owner-operator Nigel Ollett says: “The work done to the outside of store has provided our customers with a more modern and up to date looking supermarket to shop at. We are now ready to make even further improvements to the inside of the store all of which will provide our customers with a better shopping experience whilst still delivering on the PAK’nSAVE price promise our customers expect.”
Sustainable store solutions are also a key focus says Ollett. “As part of the refurbishment I’ve decided to upgrade the entire refrigeration system utilising the latest CO2 technology, which is more energy efficient and environmentally friendly. The new refrigeration cabinets will also have LED lighting which use a fraction of the energy used by traditional and fluorescent bulbs. Importantly, the new cabinetry will allow our customers to see and access the products they are purchasing better making shopping easier.”
The upgrade is expected to be completed in April 2016.
