Second-generation Dutch cheesemaker, Miel Meyer of Meyer Gouda Cheese, is the new Chairman of the New Zealand Specialty Cheesemakers Association (NZSCA).

Meyer recently took out the 2015 Champion Cheesemaker Award for the second time in the awards’ history. The 31-year-old from Hamilton received the award at the NZ Champions of Cheese Awards gala dinner and awards ceremony in Auckland.

Meyer said: “On behalf of the board of the NZSCA I would like to send my thanks and best wishes to all of our members and associates for yet another successful NZ Champions of Cheese awards.”
