Heart matters most at House of Fine Foods

House of Fine Foods was founded 26 years ago by Wayne and Karin Tibbotts from their spare room. Nearly three decades later and the family is still at the heart of this thriving business, grounded by its strong family values, exceptional customer service, strong relationships and years of keeping pace with the ever-changing FMCG sector.

At its core, House of Fine Foods is driven by the act of giving, nurturing relationships, and giving back to the communities it serves – Tiaki Katoa, their purpose.

As Joanie Nel, Channel and Brand Manager at House of Fine Foods explains, “doing good with food is something that is incredibly close to our heart” – which is why when opportunities to give back to the community present themselves, their purpose fuels their response.

In recent months, House of Fine Foods has donated a quarter million packets of product to various not-for-profit organisations. That’s eight truckloads of product, or 365 pallet loads of stock, or over 20k cartons of product.

A significant donation for a significant cause.

The most notable and recent recipients of this donation included Kiwi Harvest, a national foodbank that works with 227 charities across Aotearoa to support poor communities and reduce food waste. Secondly the ASA Foundation, a South Auckland charity that helps connect vulnerable families, community groups and churches to government agencies and providers, and that also supported Tonga in their hour of need.

The House of Fine Foods family has grown to over 50 staff across the country. They all share a passion for great food experiences and take pride (whakapehapeha) in doing a fantastic job for the brands they represent. This ethos extends to the communities they serve. Tiaki katoa (to look after everyone), our purpose.
