Facelift for New World Willis Street

Facelift for New World Willis Street

rsz_1rsz_6-new_world_verticalFoodstuffs North Island Limited will be starting work soon to upgrade New World Willis Street, located at 70 Willis St, Wellington.

“The planned upgrade will see improvements to both the inside and outside of the supermarket,” says Angela Bull, General Manager Property Development, Foodstuffs North Island Ltd. “The store will get a ‘facelift’ with more glazing and natural light and a new entranceway. With improvements through every department across the store we can promise the changes will give our customers an even better shopping experience.”

Changes at New World Willis Street include a full upgrade of the interior décor, new refrigeration, an increase in the fresh food offer and a new deli counter. These improvements will provide a better layout throughout the store, and an additional two checkouts to assist with those ‘extra busy’ times of the day.

Owner-operator Richard Taggart is excited about the improvements in the store. “We can’t wait for our customers to see the finished product so that we can offer them an even better store and an improved shopping experience,” says Taggart.

Work on the retail area of New World Willis Street will start in January 2016 and is expected to take five to six months. During this time the store will remain open, and staff will make sure customers can do all their shopping in a safe and convenient environment.
