Essano joins forces with Vitality Brands

Essano Limited has joined forces with Vitality Brands Worldwide through an acquisition agreement.

“Essano Limited has a long and proud history of providing high quality, trusted and affordable products for over 20 years in the New Zealand market, growing to be the #1 natural skincare brand in NZ and #2 in Australia,” says the team.

Vitality Brands is a founder-led, privately-owned company that has been operating successfully for over 20 years and has a long track record in building and growing great brands such as Cancer Council Sunscreen, epzen and Tribe Skincare.

“We believe the combination of Vitality Brand’s great distribution and marketing strengths and Essano’s R&D and innovation capabilities will create a powerful business with significant opportunities to expand in Australia and New Zealand, as well as global markets. Consumers will also benefit from this union as speed to market, quality ingredients and providing value for money are integral to both parties.”

Essano will continue to operate from New Zealand and will benefit from Vitality Brand’s ability to rapidly grow distribution and presence in Asian markets, while Essano’s recent launch in the US will accelerate the presence of Vitality’s brands in that market.

Anthony Gadsdon, co-founder agrees, saying “Vitality Brands has a long track record of building and growing brands and the ability for Essano to access the resources and support of Vitality Brands, as well as share ideas and knowledge, will accelerate Essano’s international growth and contribute to unlocking its full potential.”

Essano Co-founder Shane Young says, “Vitality Brands is a perfect fit for Essano. In addition to our companies’ shared values and commitment to delivering the highest quality, value for money products for our loyal customers, along with our strong trans-Tasman sense of family means that as a combined operation we can make further inroads in the beauty sector globally.
