The Great NZ Sausage Competition has been running in various forms since 1994 in New Zealand and is now well established as an annual highlight for butchers and smallgoods manufacturers.
In 2007 the competition was rebranded and pushed into the retail level with on-pack stickers, which clearly identify the Supreme winner, as well as Gold, Silver and Bronze medallists.
In 2011 the competition had a makeover once more to become the Devro New Zealand Sausage Competition. It has attracted over 450 entries from all over New Zealand last year.

All entries will be mystery shopped for the judging panel. Shoppers will select the entries in the week commencing 28th September (North Island entries) and 5th October (South Island entries) from a retail outlet you named. Your entries will be judged fresh in the competition. You will not be required to send in your entries.
Winners will be announced in October.
