Australian-owned over-the-counter (OTC) health business Key Pharmaceuticals is marking its 40th anniversary this year, celebrating four decades of category leadership and trusted partnerships across pharmacy, grocery and mass retail.
Established in 1985 by the late Tom Gregory, Key Pharmaceuticals has grown from a family-run venture into a multi-brand business with a portfolio of high-velocity OTC and seasonal products that perform strongly in grocery and independent supermarket channels. These include top-performing brands such as Blistex®, Nizoral®, Hamilton®, TravaCalm®, EarClear®, Ostevit-D® and No-Doz®.
Thomas Press, Sales Director at Key Pharmaceuticals, is leading the company’s sales team across pharmacy, grocery, emerging channels and export markets.
“We are shopper obsessed, our category footprint across pharmacy has never been stronger, and we’re excited to think about how we can continue expanding our footprint even further and deeper to meet our shoppers and consumers,” said Thomas.
“We’re committed to working closely with our retail partners to deliver trusted, convenient, and affordable health solutions that meet the everyday needs of Australian families, no matter where and how they prefer to shop.”
Key’s strength in the grocery and pharmacy channels continues to build, supported by growing consumer trust in self-managed care and a product portfolio that drives brand loyalty.
“We’re focused on building our presence even further and have several opportunities to step change our grocery channel offering to service consumer needs. As we celebrate 40 years, we’re doubling down on what we do best, which is offering retailers reliable supply, compelling self-managed care brands that consumers return to again and again. This ensures we continue to grow ahead of the categories we operate in by offering our retail partners brands they choose to support,” Thomas said.
With further products in the pipeline and increased digital support across retail marketing, Key Pharmaceuticals is well-positioned for continued growth and support for its retail partners.
Key Pharmaceuticals operates in both the Australian and New Zealand markets, with long-standing relationships across pharmacy, grocery, health professionals and wholesalers. The company is also investing in digital and social platforms to better connect with today’s health-conscious consumers.
As demand for accessible, self-directed health solutions continues to grow, Key Pharmaceuticals is well-positioned to respond to this demand with a longstanding commitment to quality, reliability and trusted partnerships.
