Jamaican Jerk BBQ Brisket Burger

When Jax Hamilton was asked if she would like to collaborate with Angel Bay on a limited edition pattie, her answer was “we’re bringing brisket back”. From then on it’s been all hands on deck to make sure that they were ready to get on to the supermarket shelves in March.

This spicy, smoky, everyday deliciousness is sure to put a smile on your customers face! It’s a Caribbean treat wrapped up in one epic brisket patty and backed by significant marketing activity across Digital, OOH, TV and print.

You may have heard of Jerk but it’s still a lesser known flavour here in NZ. Don’t worry, Angel Bay is on a mission to bring us up to speed with this exciting new product. So, what is Jerk exactly?

As Jax says “Jerk is in your DNA. When you grow up in a Jamaican household you always have some in the fridge. Every Jamaican household has its own. You can have a sauce which is wet or you can have a seasoning which is dry.”

It can be used as a marinade, on your roast potatoes or in this case mixed through our delicious 150g Brisket patties.

Why brisket for a burger patty though?  Again Jax says “When it hits the plan, the brisket comes alive, all the flavours come alive, there’s a party in the pan” which we are sure will create a stir with young and old alike.
