Get crazy for Kiwi kids in hardship

The annual KidsCan Mufti Day has had a makeover – introducing ‘Get a little crazy for KidsCan’ Day! On August 11, businesses and schools up and down the country will be wearing wacky ties and shirts, donning bright wigs and baking rainbow cupcakes to get a little bit crazy in support of KidsCan.

Meridian Energy will be getting into the spirit to make a real difference for Kiwi kids and have fun at the same time. GM Retail of Meridian Energy, Neal Barclay says, “‘Get a little crazy for KidsCan’ Day is a fun way for businesses around New Zealand to get involved and help raise funds for Kiwi kids going without the basics. Being KidsCan’s Principal Partner, the Meridian Energy team get behind these events and we’re planning something exciting and crazy, that will significantly impact the schools and children KidsCan helps.”

KidsCan CEO Julie Chapman is encouraging all workplaces and schools across New Zealand to join in the fun. “The KidsCan team will be getting crazy in every way possible from adding some sparkle to socks to baking monster muffins and I’m challenging all businesses and schools across New Zealand to get a little crazy for Kiwi kids in need this August.”

Every dollar raised from this fundraiser goes towards helping KidsCan support Kiwi kids living without the basics. Gold coin collections work well, bake sales and some businesses have even generously committed a $1 for $1 match. Join in the craziness and register at KidsCan.org.nz/CrazyDay today,
