Fresh new look for PAK’nSAVE Invercargill

PAK’nSAVE Invercargill’s refurb has made good strides with the completion of stage one.

Expanding their retail space by a massive 1600m, stage one of the store-wide refurb will deliver a new modernised entrance and an expansion of both the produce and butchery departments, offering more space and convenience for Southland shoppers.

The Dobson family took over the store 28 years ago and has since been proudly providing for the Southland community. The store’s first major refurb since it was built is being overseen by Bryan’s sons, Jason and Matthew. The refurbishment will deliver a fresh and modern retail environment for the Southland community.

PAK’nSAVE Invercargill Operations Manager, Jason Dobson says, “The team at Pak’nSave Invercargill are excited to deliver a refreshed shopping experience for our customers. The Southland community have been incredibly supportive throughout the refurbishment to date, and we appreciate their support throughout the remaining 18 months of the refurbishment. We’re pleased with completing stage one and I know our customers will be as well. The best is yet to come!”

The refurbishment is an example of Foodstuffs South Island’s investment in the Southland community and furthers the Co-op’s commitment to ensure all New Zealanders have access to healthy and affordable food.

With stage two of the refurb now underway, customers will see construction begin increasing the space of the store’s bakery and seafood departments, with a large amount of the store’s seafood on offer caught or reared locally.

PAK’nSAVE Invercargill’s Operations Manager, Matthew Dobson says “This refurb is a further investment in our local community and the wider Southland region.   Our customers have been very supportive over the past 28 years and we’re incredibly grateful to be able to continue providing for local families in the community.
