Endeavour Group appoints new CEO

Endeavour Group has announced Jayne Hrdlicka will be taking on the role of Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer to deliver the company’s next phase of growth. She will start the role on January 2026, with Executive Chairman Ari Mervis continuing to lead the business as Executive Chairman until her commencement.

“After an extensive global search, the Board is delighted to have secured such a highly capable leader,” comments Ari Mervis. “Jayne brings many strengths to the role, including a history of using deep consumer insights to define successful strategy formulation and execution and extensive business transformation experience.”

Hrdlicka has a proven track record of leading consumer-facing businesses to success. Her most recent role was Virgin Australia CEO and MD, in which she successfully led the company out of administration.

Prior to that she was CEO and MD of the A2 Milk Company, Group CEO of the Jetstar Group, and CEO of Qantas Loyalty. Between 2010 and 2016, she was a Non-Executive Director of Woolworths Group, which at the time included Endeavour Group’s liquor brands and the ALH Hotel Group.

“I have a long history with Endeavour’s retail and hotel businesses, initially as a consultant to Woolworths, including on their early liquor strategy, and then as a Woolworths Group Board Member,” comments Hrdlicka.

“Endeavour Group has much to play for. I look forward to working with the 30,000+ team members and together, continuing to deliver for millions of valued customers as we look to grow the Company and unlock value for all of our shareholders.”

In October last year, Steve Donohue had stepped down as Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director after 30 years with the company.

Endeavour Group brands include Pinnacle Drinks; Dan Murphy’s; BWS; and Parragon Wine Estates.
