With just three days to go until entries close for this year’s inaugural New Zealand Chocolate Awards, time is of the essence! Make sure you enter now to ensure your chocolate brand is in the running to be voted New Zealand’s Favourite Chocolate brand and/or producer. The accolade is one of two Chocolate Lovers categories being decided by public vote. With entries closing this Friday, 25th August, you have just a few days left to enter, to let your products shine.
A panel of food experts will judge entries in the New Zealand Chocolate Awards at the Fresh Factory in Auckland on Wednesday 6 September, with results announced on Monday 18 September. In addition to categories assessed by the judging panel, New Zealand Chocolate Awards organisers are asking Kiwis to help them find the country’s finest.
Chocolate lovers are invited to vote for New Zealand’s Favourite Chocolate brand and the Café Serving New Zealand’s Favourite Hot Chocolate. Chocolate Lovers vote can vote online. Each vote goes into the draw to WIN a special New Zealand Chocolate Awards Gourmet Chocolate Hamper. Voting closes 11.59pm on Sunday 17 September 2017 and winners will be announced on Monday 18 September 2017 along with the winners of the awards assessed by the judging panel.
NZ Chocolate Awards co-organiser Kathie Bartley of Marvellous Marketing says Chocolate Lovers’ voting is a great way for chocolate makers to build their relationship with customers. “The success of every business depends on word of mouth and this is a great opportunity for chocolatiers to mobilise the loyalty of their customers by asking them to vote.”
“Chocolate makers can get involved using Facebook and Instagram to invite customers to vote for them via the website. Or they may put posters or signage in their shops, or a note on menus. Whatever way they choose, it’s a fun opportunity to get customers talking about their favourite chocolate and spreading the word.”
