CROSSMARK restructures

CROSSMARK restructures

James Macvicar, General Manager – Sales; Mark Damen, General Manager – Merchandising at Crossmark.

CROSSMARK, New Zealand’s largest field marketing agency specialising in field sales, merchandising, stock management and brand ambassadors, has undergone a major restructure, merging its two grocery sales arms into one division. This change creates two distinctly individual sales and merchandising divisions within the CROSSMARK business with two new senior hires to oversee the two divisions.

The restructure will see CROSSMARK’s Grocery Partners becoming a specialised part of the broader Sales division, which will operate as a seamless entity alongside CROSSMARK’s other sales teams including the Brand Ambassador team and the Pharmacy Sales team.  The benefits of this consolidation will be felt across the group and by clients, with clearer and more seamless reporting and Grocery Partners continuing to deliver its first-class processes and methodologies in the Grocery channel.

CROSSMARK has appointed James MacVicar to lead its new sales division as General Manager – Sales. James brings a wealth of experience as a strategic and senior operational manager with more than 22 years’ experience across FMCG, grocery, route, petroleum, pharmacy and national account businesses in New Zealand and Australia.

The CROSSMARK merchandising division will be led by Mark Damen, who has been promoted to the role of General Manager – Merchandising. “Mark joined the business in January and has proven to be an invaluable asset to the team, investing heavily in improving processes and client service. The Merchandising division will work closely with the Sales division in driving exceptional in store performance by our field teams,” said a spokesperson.

David Murray, Chief Operating Officer, CROSSMARK Asia Pacific says: “The new management and operational structure signals an exciting time for the business.  Our senior leadership team is focused on future growth, putting structures in place that help the business deliver great results for our clients whilst remaining agile, progressive and dependable.”

In addition to renewed organisational efficiencies and clearer reporting lines, the new CROSSMARK senior management teams across the sales and merchandising divisions are looking forward to leveraging new intuitive real-time measurement and reporting tools that will deliver even further ROI for clients.
